Designing for How You Imagine Your Home Will Feel

Before
~ The master suite had four rooms on the top floor of the home, each devoted to a single purpose: Sleeping, Bathing, Grooming, Dressing.
~ A morning's activities meant wandering between all four rooms.
~ As you entered the master bedroom, you could see right into the bathroom, plus an entire room was devoted to just the vanity!
~ The photo on the left shows how inadequate the lighting was.

Wish List
~ Two-person shower and tub.
~ An elegant bathroom to complement our bedroom set.
~ A sitting area in the bedroom.
~ More closet space--preferably separated.
Solution & Gains
~ A paradigm shift which combined Bathing, Grooming, and Dressing into one "wing" of the master suite.
~ Elegance from heated marble floors and three walls with floor-to-ceiling marble, mosaics, and crystal light fixtures.
~ A hand-cast glass counter displays a Wawirka cast-bronze sink, adding both elegance and artistry.
~ Above the bronze lav, a beveled-edge mirror pockets into the wall to open up the view.
~ His and her "closets" with built-in bureaus in both areas.
~ In the husband's area, his closet also serves as a mini-den with files and a counter for his laptop.
~ A diamond-shaped foyer buffers the bedroom from the activies of the bath and
contains a small refrigerator.
~ Two sitting areas! One is in the bedroom by a custom fire feature, the other, a mohair divan in the center of the master bath.
