Designing for How You Imagine Your Home Will Feel

~ The stairs to the lower level formerly started where the golden sofa is.
~ The ascending stairs were U-shapde, cramped, carpeted, and completely confined in a "tower" next to the entry door.
~ The stairs are now near the entry with the descending stairs concealed. See the next photograph.
~ The risers are painted a sangria color. The treads and railings are khaya.

~ The stairs to the lower level were fully exposed.
~ There are now two shoji doors that slide into a pocket in the wall, opening up the pathway to the stairs.

~ The door into the garage was at the end of the kitchen. There was no alternative than to walk through the kitchen.
~ There are now two ways to enter the home. The door to the right opens into a room that serves both the kitchen and as a laundry., a scullery
~ This room houses a set of double ovens, delivering less visual clutter in the kitchen. Additionally, when self-cleaning, the room can be shut off and a ventilation fan will extract the odors!
~ The round window was formerly in a closet. The door opening is new. Formerly, this was a wall along the west side of the stair tower.
~ The artwork above the fireplace is an original piece by Landon, expressly made for his client.
